Nintendo Reveals New Wii Controller

Nintendo today updated its Wii website with information on a new, upcoming Wii controller (pictured left).

The "Classic Controller PRO" will add extra shoulder buttons and hand grips to the original classic controller concept. As with the classic controller, the PRO will apparently still need to be wired to a Wii Remote.

The new pad is slated for a vague "summer" release date in Japan. No pricing details were released.

    Deadzone? If I recall they had two settings: gently held in and click. No, wait, I'm DEFINITELY sure that's how it was. Many games depended on the difference - it's just that some had no action assigned to not-click, which is stupid.
    
    Or do you mean the distance you had to hold it in to go from not-click to click? If so, I agree, that was a bit excessive.
