I don't deny they seem to have made much progress on simplifying a complicated genre but its still really annoying.
Anyone able to share some info about how grouping units works?
I heard there was different ways to go about it (which didn't sound all that optimal). I'd hoped Ensemble found a solid way - as its definitely something I could see myself use a lot @ various flanking maneuvers.

If they just feel compelled to mention whose voice is whose, put a caption over the gameplay footage that lists their name and job title. But there's no excuse to show these people talking about the game, when you could just show the game.
The Empire: Total War vid from a few days ago was even more egregious: footage of a dev talking at the camera, followed by a shot of him playing the game... instead of just showing the game itself the whole time.
I don't know which execudrone thought these things would be a great idea; that person needs to be isolated and studied so we can prevent this kind of mental illness in future generations.
