Weekly PlayStation Store Update: Oh Noby Noby Boy
by Nick Breckon, Feb 19, 2009 6:30pm PSTToday's PlayStation Store update brings Katamari Damacy creator Keitha Takahashi's totally insane downloadable game Noby Noby Boy.
The $5 title invites players to "control the main character, BOY, to play, stretch and interact with objects and characters in surreal worlds!" Surreal being an understatement.
The rest of the update brings a LittleBigPlanet WipeOut costume pack, and the Afro Samurai demo, and Zuma. Can't get enough of that Zuma.

While it is pleasant it is no where near as good of a "game" as Katamari. It is really not as satisfying. Your boy grows longer, but instead of making the game more exciting, it is just frustrating to deal with. The levels are these small little floating squares that you have to fit your boy on and try to eat stuff that you long body is knocking around.
It is an interesting experience, but calling it "fun" would be a *stretch* (kill me).

Its in the arcade version, its on the disc, its out on release day and yet they're charging us more money for it. Fucking lame.
