Weekend Discussion

Forget this Valentine's Day stuff, it's time to get dressed up and go to the roller derby.

Depending on how things go, we may even play some laser tag afterwards. Not only is it fun, but it'll give me the practice I need before that Dallas Shackmeet extravaganza.

I mean, I don't want to embarrass myself any more than I already have, right?

That episode was so strangely well-written (for the show) and, man, it had some great lines.

agreed. it almost seemed like they brought in people from the outside able to actually write dialog.

far from retarded oneliners and shitty dialog of the past. also the sound has gotten better. i constantly had the problem of going "wtf did he just say?!" because the audio was inaudible or went under in the background noise.

I always enjoy the writing more in the episodes where cylons do most of the talking. It almost seems like they write this terribly clichéd tripe for the human characters on purpose, while giving the cylons the more interesting, nuanced personalities.

villain syndrome, they always get the better lines.

also maybe the lack of screen time the cylons got back then forced the writers to come up with interesting and and more defining dialog than with the regular cast that made lots of useless transformations over the seasons.

that would fit the situation now: "oh shit were running out of time, lets make this work for once!"
