Valve Confirms Left 4 Dead DLC Will Be Free

I can really care less. This is not what I expected for DLC from Valve for Left4Dead. While I am sure there will be entirely new campaigns down the road (a year after release given this is coming out in Spring), I purchased the game knowing there was only 4 and that my price would be justified through new campaigns, just like Valve released new weapons, skills, maps, and modes (with new maps) for TF2. Unfortunately we have 2 versus maps that should have been there from the start, and a survival mode that will no less be smaller portions of the maps already in the game, I highly doubt they can pump out 12 Valve quality maps by Spring, we haven't even got that many new maps for TF2 yet. I want new campagins, paid or not, this is not the DLC I and most of the community were looking for.

I appreciate what Valve is doing, its hard work being given away for free, but that energy could have been used otherwise.
