Prey Port Coming to iPhone
by Nick Breckon, Feb 09, 2009 7:53pm PSTAn iPhone port of Human Head Studios' first-person shooter Prey is on the way to the iPhone, according to IGN.
The port (pictured below) features a bar-based control scheme. Users control the character's movement and aiming using four on-screen bars, while buttons to the side are used for attacking and changing weapons.

In development at MachineWorks Northwest--developers of the critically-acclaimed Prey Mobile 3D--Prey for the iPhone will hit the App Store within the next few weeks.

also, the gun sprite in most of those screen shots has been cropped off on the right. Luckily, you don't see this much as it is being hidden by the ugly HUD. I'm guessing the original gun sprite was designed to sit on the far right, rather than centered.
Too bad i don't have a iphone.
I emailed some of the Prey 2 devs a while ago.
Hello,
Prey 2 is coming along. We should be announcing progress later in 2009. Have a happy holiday season.

I don't know yet because the damn thing can't load up on mine.
Which makes you think: why render the portion of the screen that' your fingers are covering anyway? Couldn't you save on some computation overhead by making that section of the screen a static 2D image? Or just make it black and save on some battery.

I really liked PREY a lot.
But this just seems... weird.
The only way this would be cool is if it was somehow a finished version of the original, never released 1997 version (which I know doesn't exist)
