Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Announced, First Trailer Released
by Nick Breckon, Feb 06, 2009 1:40pm PSTActivision today announced the game adaptation of the upcoming film sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, with multiple versions of the title slated to be released alongside the movie's June premiere.
The first Traveller's Tales-developed Transformers movie tie-ins left a bit to be desired on consoles, but Activision has switched up developers for the sequel, going with Santa Monica-based Luxoflux for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions. The studio is responsible for the recent Kung Fu Panda title, along with the True Crime and Vigilante 8 series.
Beenox Studios will handle the PC port, while Krome Studios is creating distinct Wii and PlayStation 2 versions. Vicarious Visions will follow up their previous Nintendo DS games with two new Autobot and Decepticon-themed games, while Savage Entertainment is creating a "unique, fast-paced action arcade title" for the PSP.
