Left 4 Dead Sells 1.8 Million at Retail
by Chris Faylor, Feb 03, 2009 2:17pm PSTValve's cooperative zombie-shooter Left 4 Dead sold over 1.8 million copies at retailers in 2008, distributor Electronic Arts revealed in a conference call today.
The figure accounts for retail sales of the PC and Xbox 360 versions, but does not include those copies sold via Valve's digital distribution platform Steam.
Nor does the figure include total worldwide retail sales, as Valve reminded us that EA Partners handles its retail distribution in "most, but not all of the world."

Time for a free DLC me thinks, maybe one involving a new weapon or two and a new map.

Do take notice of your friends who "like this game, but not enough to buy it," however. As they are not generally good "team" players anyway. Let them not buy the game.

first few times were fun.. but got old so fast
the replayability is pretty bad like i initially expected -- but i still bought it on Steam :\
i even tried the player vs. player modes..
i guess lack of content is the biggest thing and hope free DLC will spice it up
I bet they sold the same amount or more on steam, thats where I bought mine.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMER
