Shack PSA: Resident Evil 5 Demo Hits PlayStation 3

By Chris Faylor, Feb 02, 2009 8:47am PST In a break from the PlayStation Store's traditional Thursday updates, a downloadable demo for Capcom's Resident Evil 5 is now available to PlayStation 3 owners.

As with the Xbox 360 demo that hit last week, the download offers a two-stage glimpse of the zombie-killing action game, complete with online and offline cooperative play.

The full version of Resident Evil 5 hits PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 13.

  • ok after sitting on my initial reaction to hate the demo, i played a bit more and found its basically as good as RE4, just with prettier graphics. That said, there are absolutely issues with it, and more frustratingly is that they are the same exact issues from RE4. So for what its worth, once you get your RE4 legs back (took me 2 play throughs of the first level) the game is fun. I havent played co-op yet though, so that might make all the difference in the game being a big hit vs just another rehash of RE4 (which is how it feels to me right now from the demo levels).
