Madworld Trailer Evokes Smash TV, Elicits Cringing

This trailer of Platinum Games' MadWorld (Wii) calls to mind Smash TV and Running Man, while using a weak SportsCenter-esque presentation to drive home the game's concept.

The highly-stylized action title centers around a Jack, a chainsaw-armed dude battling to the death on a television show. A major hook of the game is environmental interaction, with plenty of Wii Remote-activated animations leading to grisly deaths.

MadWorld is set to arrive on the Wii early this year.

Grizzly deaths? I wasn't aware that there were bears in this game. Or perhaps you meant grisly, meaning "inspiring horror or disgust."

This is why Sega can't sell games...their marketing department sucks sooo much, and needs to be replaced. The videos for Condemned 2 were an outright joke, and killed any interest I might have had for the game, and if it weren't for the demo for FEAR 2 it would have killed that too.
