Leipzig Games Convention 2009 Cancelled

This year's Leipzig Games Convention, scheduled for an August 20-23 date, has been cancelled according to event organizers.

Nintendo and Sony have already committed to rival convention Gamescom in Cologne, forcing Games Convention to cancel its show.

Games Convention had grown to be one of the largest videogame conferences in the world, with a record-breaking 203,000 visitors in 2008.
