Saints Row 2 PC Patch Improves Performance
by Chris Faylor, Jan 26, 2009 3:03pm PSTA new patch for the PC version of Saints Row 2 has been released by developer Volition, fixing crash bugs and replacing the original 32 FPS cap with a variable FPS cap.
As the game itself requires Valve's digital distribution platform Steam, the patch is delivered as an automatical update that's downloaded upon restarting Steam.
- General performance increase around 20%. Note that this will vary depending on the both computer specifications and game settings
- 3rd Party controller scrolling issue has been fixed
- Corrected various crashes reported across all versions
- Corrected a crash in "Drive-By" Diversion for Danish version
- Corrected a crash in "Streaking" Diversion for Spanish version
- Removed original frame cap of 32 FPS
- New variable frame cap has been implemented. This will smooth out spikes in overall framerate
- Players may notice a small hitch when crossing into new chunks in the world. The amount of time for this has been reduced for recommended spec machines, but may still be noticeable, particularly while driving at high speeds

How is this game on the PC? since Yahtzee + my uncles are saying it's much more fun then gta 4, and watched it at my uncles' place and it looked fun, intresting missions, funny etc.. hard to tell though with some since they can't play a game without having damn cheats on.
