Bit.Trip Beat Announced: Pong-like Chiptunes Rhythm Game Thing for WiiWare

Based on synthesized chiptune sounds and a Pong-esque paddle that evokes the Atari age, Gaijin Games' BIT.TRIP BEAT is looking to be one of the more unique titles in the WiiWare library.

The following gameplay video will be far more explanatory than any textual description. Just imagine the option for 2-4 player co-op, and you have it. No release date yet for the arcadey downloadable title.

nice, too bad the wii uses wiitard points instead of straight up purchase price like the ps3. i guess i'll never buy a wii/360 downloadable game in my life.

I will get this one. Looks fun. Wish the Wii had better storage. I've got like one Wii Ware and a few VC and I pretty much filled the puny wii memory.
