LittleBigPlanet Bug Creating Big Problems for Users

PS3fanboy is reporting that a bug affecting many users of LittleBigPlanet can lead to the deletion of the game's save data.

The glitch appears to be related to a user's profile data. Players are reporting that accumulating too many community objects can cause the game to delete anything from level progress and saved costumes, to both user-created and official levels.

In any case, LBP users note that the only current solution to the problem is the manual deletion of community content. Developer Media Molecule has yet to issue a comment on the matter.

My kids started getting this message when playing the Metal Gear maps. It keeps on saying that it can't save the profile since there's too much stuff in there.

I play this game all the time still with my gf, I haven't had this problem. That been said I haven't downloaded a big add-on like MGS stuff or anything, we just play and have fun

I always had high hopes for LBP. I dunno but it sure seems like the PS3 titles are really swirling the drain at this point. Too many strikes against it. I've never been a fanboy of any consoles and have always owned a playstation, but the price of admission kept me out of this last playstation. It appears to me that I've dodged a bullet.

I can relate to all of the people having these issues, Resistance 2's profile system is so stupid. You cannot login to another profile if you have a 2nd player, so unless you keep your ps3 on the entire time the second player always gets level 1 crap everytime. Seriously, is allowing the 2nd player to login to a profile that hard?

I got the same dang thing. I downloaded a few of the free costumes only to find that my "User save profile corrupted" or some garbage, lost %96 completion on this game...haven't been happy enough to touch it since :(

Instead of automatically saving community objects when you pick them up, they should just save a link to the object, and then after you're done playing the level, or perhaps in some type of menu option, you can go through all of the community objects you've picked up and choose to download specific ones. I think that might be a better idea than just deleting shit that you actually want to hang onto. Most of those community objects are garbage anyway.
