PixelJunk Monsters Getting PSP Port

PixelJunk Monsters, Q Games' excellent version of tower defense, will be ported to the PSP sometime in 2009, according to a recent Spike TV segment.

Q Games founder Dylan Cuthbert says that the handheld version will include content or features beyond those found in the original PlayStation Network title.

"We got a lot of requests from fan mail and stuff saying they really wanted a PSP-native version [of PixelJunk Monsters]," said Cuthbert, as pointed out by Joystiq. "We thought, rather than just port it directly, let's add a bit more."

How about a whole new expansion for the PSN. I will be more than happy to empty my piggy bank for this game. I don't think any other game gave me as much enjoyment as this one in the past year.. Please make more for the PS3!!!!

I hope they have entirely new levels though. I already played over 100 hours of the original and encore.
