Lumines Supernova Hits PlayStation 3 Next Week, Brings Free Holiday Pack
by Chris Faylor, Dec 19, 2008 10:19am PSTPlayStation 3 owners will finally be able to join in the the block-busting fun of the musical-puzzler Lumines next week, as developer Q has revealed that the downloadable PS3 version will debut in North America next Tuesday, December 23.
Priced at $14.99, the game has players attempting to create same-colored squares of 4 or more blocks, and packs 40 skins--a term used to describe songs and their accompanying graphics--including one inspired by Media Molecule's LittleBigPlanet.
20 additional skins will be provided through the free holiday pack, said to feature "a little something for everyone," including heavy metal, UK rock, and gabber songs. However, Q cautioned that the pack will only be free "for a limited time only."
