New Street Fighter 4 Screenshots Reveal Rose

Just in time for the holidays, Capcom has unleashed a torrent of new screenshots from its impending home release of Street Fighter IV, showing off a number of hard hits and confirming the rumored addition of Street Fighter Alpha veteran Rose.

Some nifty new character artwork arrived as well, portraying Rose and old dude Gen.

Street Fighter IV hits PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 17, with a PC edition due later on.

why are they leaving out the sf3 characters that were fun and putting in an alpha character like rose that no one used.

Capcom is really pushing the nostalgia factor in this game. Out of a 25 character roster, only 6 of them are new. Capcom didn't even bother to change the old characters' clothing. They are all wearing the EXACT same costumes they wore in previous games.

Even so, I hope the game does well. Judging from the steller sales figures of SF2HD, it looks like it will.

Oh, and just an FYI, the Japanese SF4 blog also notes that Cammy, Rose and Gen are the last characters to be added to the home version. So if you had hopes of an SF1, SF3, Final Fight or other Alpha character showing up, it just went right out the window.

of all the SF characters I wanted to move onto SF4, Rose was pretty close to the bottom of my list. She never seemed to fit in.

Never did get on with Rose but in the hands of the computer she was very annoying, like being beaten to death by the crazy aunt you only see at Funerals.

Still, I haven't played a 2D fighting game for years, im saving it up for this baby.
