New God Of War 3 Trailer Goes In-game

I know I'm gonna get totally flamed for this, but why do the PS fanboys maturbate to this game in the same way that the Halo kids do on XBox? Great series...yes, but the best thing in the past 25 years? Not even close.

I've played a great number of games like Ninja Gaiden and Devil May Cry. I have both NG2 and DMC4 which both, while not perfect, were amazing games. In my opinion, 2 series superior to God of War. I've even played throug both God of War and God of War 2 and had a blast playing them, but I still think that they aren't the best games in the genre. My biggest complaint about the series in the repetitive DDR-like mini game when trying to do something cool. (One of the reasons that Force Unleashed annoyed me too) After a while, it gets old trying to kill the gorgon or minotaur with the same dumb beat minigame or analog stick spin for the 30th time. The balance beam sequences get pretty lame also. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a fun game series, but at the same time, it's getting worship it's definitely not the best.

Just slightly off topic, but... I picked up a used copy of the first God of War game recently since its as highly touted by the PS community as Halo is by the MS community. The first level was alright- nothing exceptional except for the giant-ass sea serpent, which was pretty fun. But as soon as I had to start kicking that damn wooden crate around while being shot at with arrows I lost all interest. It was easy to figure out what to do, but hard to execute because the controls felt so sloppy. After 7 or 8 tries I gave up and I'm not sure I'll ever try again.

My question is this: should I care? Is it really worth trying again and just looking past the crap controls? Are these games really that good?

isnt this supposed to be a key title for the PS3 !!! they should at least put more effort into the graphics to prove Sony's claims that their hardware is far more superior than the 360

is one of the developers the voice talent of that dude?

I read some fanboy's blog who had seen a sneak preview and described it as having the most amazing graphics he'd ever seen. He was clearly high at the time.

Looks like Sony quickly pushed out a few Playstation Only trailers of top exclusives (this and Uncharted 2) to perhaps curtail the recent NPD shellacking they took.

After the ending of the second one, I am very disappointed this isn't looking more like Shadow of the colossus, as in he has to now battle those gigantic epics
