Halo Wars Release Date Announced
by Chris Faylor, Dec 08, 2008 10:07am PSTHalo Wars, the final game from Age of Empires creator Ensemble Studios, will bring real-time strategy to North American Xbox 360s come March 3, Microsoft has revealed.
The Americas will be the last territory to receive the game, with a European release on February 27 and a Japanese / Asia Pacific debut the day before, February 26.
Per Microsoft tradition for major Xbox 360 releases, the game will be available in two forms: a $60 standard edition and a bonus-packed $80 Limited Collector's Edition that will offer early access to the long-awaited Halo 3 Mythic Map Pack.

I'm not trying to bash it before it's out of the starting blocks... But, the only other RTS I can remember that worked on an acceptable level was Starcraft for the N64 and it was still utter shite.

However, I have yet to see the game really do anything better than EA's C&C games on consoles. Halo Wars is made specifically for 360, but from the vids I've seen, it only further proves that RTS on consoles is hopeless.
