Far Cry 2 PC Patch Coming Next Week
by Chris Faylor, Dec 03, 2008 10:36am PSTA patch for the PC version of Ubisoft Montreal's Far Cry 2 will arrive next week, according to publisher Ubisoft, though exact details on its contents are not known.
The update should hit between December 8 and 11, going by a post from representative Ubi_Marc on the game's official German forums. No other details were provided.
Since its late October release, the open-world first person shooter has drawn complaints for its narrow field-of-view, which does not properly take advantage of widescreen resolutions, much like the initial release of 2K Boston and 2K Marin's BioShock. Ubisoft has reportedly pledged to fix the issue.

Where are the beautiful vistas that make your jaw drop?
I bought the XBOX 360 version on release day, and I am about 16% into the game (doing main missions and side missions, which apparently do nothing for your % complete).
LOVE the game; can't get enough of travelling around this world and talking to people and building my stockpile of weapons. But nothing I've seen has made me go "Wow." Even the more basic XBOX FarCry games (FarCry: Instincts) had some amazing (for the time) scenery. I am still only in Act 1, so maybe the big impressive set pieces come later?

Pretty stoked to have made it 16% thru game so far without dying! Me best bud Marty has a lot to do with this :-) .

Kinda disappointing that they didn't fix that when they fixed the other keybind errors.
Oh, and Joy of Joys! Fallout 3 ALSO has a bind problem. Lockpick torque is supposed to be W,S,Q,E (my movement binds), unfortunately, I can't use "E", as it is a hardcoded E)xit button.
What is the deal with hardcoded keybinds even after you've rebound keys? Is it REALLY that difficult?
