Castle Crashers Patch Still Coming, Says Developer

Castle Crashers developer The Behemoth has reassured fans that a patch for the Xbox Live Arcade title is on the way, hoping to allay concerns over the game's still-buggy Xbox Live co-op component.

"We're working with Microsoft to get the title update out as quickly as we can," said a Behemoth spokesperson to Xbox360Fanboy. "Sadly, we can't get into details about the certification process, but we've resolved the game's issues with data loss and networking in addition to other bugs."

Added The Behemoth: "We can't really comment on the release yet as we're not allowed to talk about it because of Microsoft, but the update's release is definitely reaching the end of the process."

The disconnect killed it for me. They took way to long to fix what was otherwise a great game. I doubt I'll pick it up again...just too many other things to play.

I kinda feel like I'm missing out on the suck since I have only played multiplayer locally. That said I've loved the game so much. I actually just beat it with a friend for the first time last night. (I bought it a week ago)

I played through the whole game online, with very few problems. It certainly had issues, as there were a few times where if we tried to bring a person in then it might disconnect us all, but for the most part we only had the occasional disconnect and that's it.

- thats weird. i played a 2 player game and it disconnected the other person every 2 levels : dantastic
- I lost my saved game at about 55-60% finished... haven't gone back to it since. :( : Shadowdane

The Behemoth's patch came way too late. Like an ambulance arriving to a graveyard after a man has been dead for a few months. Same concept with Castle Crashers unfortunately.
