As had been expected, a demo for the PC version of Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 is now available.

A 1.82GB download, the demo includes three tutorials and one mission from both the Soviet and the Allied campaigns.

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 was released for PC October 28, and Xbox 360 November 11. A PlayStation 3 version is still in development.

  • Already uninstalled the demo. Maybe I was in the wrong mood to play it, but I couldn't stand it. I don't think I liked a single thing about it. The campy cutscenes and blatant token hot chicks intended for young adolescent males were so overdone that they were embarrassing. I mean, I can appreciate some amount of cheese in my games but this is just overly saturated with it to the point of nausea. The art style was way too saturated and cartoony, somehow making the gorgeous C&C3 engine look terrible. And the gameplay felt completely "been there done that." I should've uninstalled as soon as I saw what amounts to be Mr. Clippy from MS Office in the form of a talking tank in the tutorial.
