oh man.. it looks great, but compared to fallout3 which has an OPEN WORLD where you can shoot everything off and can do nearly all you want - even behave like marcus - , i'm not as interested in gears2 as i was for gears1.
don't get me wrong, i'm a huge fan of gears of war - it just looks a bit overhyped now compared to fallout3 which IS a masterpiece.

self absored BULLSHIT MARKETING! give me quake. or q3a. no bullshit marketing ALL GAMEPLAY. i mean this fucking video is all about how awesome their game is, and how it's like dark night and WHO THE FUCK CARES. gears was okay, it sold me on the 360 hardware, but i've played WAY more crackdown, cod4 and bioshock. it's sad really seeing ciffy B pimp his game SO hard when it will have less replay value then most 360 games. TOO MUCH HYPE.

Really tired of these fags self hyping their game. We all know it's gonna be a hit and thats great....

The game isn't for everyone, I'm much happier with SOCOM on the PS3, it's much more my type of game. Big servers filled with realistic style combat, real weapons, real objectives, etc. Yea it's got it's share of problems but once they got them ironed out it's gonna be the best online game ever of that genre, that will unfortunately never reach it's full potential.

Anyway, GoW2 looks very cool, but this stupid self-hyped-crap is lame.

that 'Mad World" commercial was such bullshit. It wound up reflecting GoW1 in absolutely no way whatsoever. 1 Had no characterization, no substantial story, no nothing. That they're touting it so much this time around makes me think that they will have tried too hard, and it will be the emotional equivalent of watching Mansquito.

Before you get all condemning and shit, know I plan to buy and enjoy this game. I'm just expecting that their claims to drama and thematic substance are going to be a big high-flying load of hot shitty CliffyB-stanked air.

is it confirmed on the number of players for the coop campaign? i know there are modes that allow 6 or 8 players at once, but is the campaign limited at 2 again? sure hope not :(
