Red Alert 3 Trailer Brings the Awesome

EA LA's Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 has picked up a new trailer. From the B-movie cinematics, to some fantastic pre-rendered invasion footage, to a Japanese giant war robot, this trailer will remind you of the awesome, off-kilter heritage this game has.

With the PC version going gold earlier today, the strategy sequel will arrive on October 28 with an Xbox 360 version following on November 11.

Seriously, this looks terrible. Who decided Red Alert needed to be this silly. The original wasn't. Sure there were tesla towers and the Iron curtain but I don't remember the rest of it featuring such ridiculous crap.

OMFG Helicopters that turn into Mechs!!!! thats way cooler than helicopters that stay in the goddamn air.

And this is the other (embarrassing) way the good old C&C franchise can go. This looks like power rangers in WW4. The whole series started "kind of" realistic and now we have arrived at kindergarten. Sorry but beside C&C Generals there was no good C&C in a long time...what a disappointment. :-(

This is a must purchase for me. But I do want to say that, as cool as that trailer is, I wish they'd stick to the original Hell March. NOTHING is better than that as far as gaming music to get the blood pumping IMHO. I don't think this new version, or the version they had in RA 2 is as good as the original. GIVE ME CLASSIC HELL MARCH DAMNIT!

Mmmm. Hell March brings back such good memories. I wish it were realistic to expect total fulfillment of my nostalgia. Then again, I can always go play the originals and look forward to something new in the series....

Everything about this game looks amazing, the graphics and cinematics and usual humour. Yet, the cartoony style and unit designs absolutely destroyed it for me. You may say thats just the style of C&C, but EA has managed to take the original concept and through perverse, franchise raping manipulation create complete crap in only the way that EA is able to do.
