I don't want to spend $150 on a fucking game, this is bullshit.

would you feel differently if they had just announced they were planning 2 expansion packs for it?

Yes, since expansion packs are generally 30 bucks, a total of $110, you still save 40 bucks, get more units and new content and they are generally released a six months to a year after the initial game is released which keeps general interest in the game.

40 dollars over the course of 5 years... and they never said they wouldn't release new units?

Why would they release new terran units with a zerg only campaign? That makes no sense.

they've mentioned they want to keep the multiplayer and single player experience separate. they could introduce new units in MP while keeping SP consistent with lore.

Obviously that depends on how they were priced.

I hope if they are going to require fans to buy all three that they reduce the price a bit on all three. This doesn't sound like a typical expansion pack scenario though.

What if it's $40 for each, or less!

Hahaha, Saying that would probably get you fired at blizzard.
