Colorful New Prince of Persia Screenshots & Trailer

New screenshots from Ubisoft's newest Prince of Persia game have been released, showing a wide variety of locations.

A Tokyo Game Show 2008 trailer is available as well

Prince of Persia ships for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 December 2, with the Nintendo DS version Prince of Persia: The Fallen King shipping the same day.

They need to release footage that cures me of my (irrational?!) hate for this game. You would think this would be right up my alley as I really like previous PoP games, like anime-style, cell shaded art work, really like acrobatics... but the thing is that some of the animations with the sidekick make it seem to me like the laws of physics don't matter at all. The key to cool looking acrobatics in my mind is that they look hyper real i.e. somewhat plausible. From what I've seen so far there really isn't much of a penalty for failing, the sidekick will save you many times while floating in the air above your head, etc

Wow, that looks....incredible. Not sure about the prince, looks like he might be harking back to emo times past but if they recreate the thrills and fluidity of Sands of Time and really make the world feel like its being traversed then this could work out to be something pretty special by the looks of things. The huge draw distances and soft focus is looking spot on.

Also, PC!
