Tetris Party Falls Onto WiiWare in October for 1200 Points
by Blake Ellison, Oct 03, 2008 5:00pm PDTHudson's WiiWare remix of classic puzzle game Tetris will descend onto the Wii Shop Channel, inch-by-inch, this month.
Announced back in May, the game--now entitled Tetris Party--will cost 1200 Wii Points ($12) and will sport a whopping 18 modes of play, according to a Nintendo press release.
Tetris Party will also support online multiplayer for up to six players, as well as a mode controlled entirely by the Balance Board accessory. Players lean forward and backward to control the speed of the pieces and squat to rotate them.

Not that I don't like this time-tested, basic game, but when are we going get something different like the Tetris: The Grand Master games? Those of you not familiar with the series, it's essentially a much more advanced Tetris with a bigger focus on the player's skill with handling pieces at high speeds.
But perhaps it's best known for being really fucking hard.
