“Despite the fact that the Wii is more powerful than the GameCube “by a factor of two”, third party titles “really don’t take full advantage of the machine.”
He also said this;
"Running the juice out of the Wii with Battalion Wars 2, it is working on a number of secret projects that are
continuing to advance the graphical standards it has already achieved and that there is room to do more.”
I'm way more prone to take his insight on the Wii than most other developers, because Kuju was competent with the Cube. Most of these Cube 1.5 guys don't have any Cube title under their belt worth mentioning --- all PS2 ports, same goes for the Wii, or they have nothing to show at all.
The AAA games on the Wii run on average at 60fps and do look noticeably better than anything from last generation, so it's at least double that of Cube with 3x the memory and much faster memory.
I'm a long time PC gamer(About 23 years), so I look at it from a different perspective than some of these younger PlayStation monkeys that were quite delusional about their console's abilities a few years back and now openly criticize the Wii when they see it playing PS2 games.
