Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon DS Coming to US, Features Online Play
by Chris Faylor, Oct 02, 2008 10:03am PDTThe next DS entry in Intelligent Systems' strategy-RPG series Fire Emblem will make its way to North America in the first half of 2009, Nintendo of America has disclosed.
A remake of the first NES Fire Emblem, the game, which tells the story of Marth, sports redone graphics and sound four new prologue chapters along with six difficulty settings.
The online multiplayer component will lets players to battle with up to 5 units a piece, and will also support full voice chat. It was released in Japan this past August.
In addition, players will be able to "loan" units to a friend for play in their single-player campaign. Any experience gained while loaned will be carried over upon the unit's return. There will also be an online shop, which will carry different items every day.
