Sin and Punishment 2 Coming to US Next Year; 'We Got the Message' Says Nintendo [Update: Trailer]

A sequel to Treasure's Japan-only Nintendo 64 shooter Sin and Punishment will hit North America next year, Nintendo has announced.

The original made its way to Europe and North America via the Wii's online Shop Channel earlier this year, and has sold so well that a Nintendo representative remarked, "We got the message."

i am wii-less, but interested regardless. wonder if they'll top the mind-bending aerial fight over the battleship fleet from the original. the animation and character design looks like a serious step down tho.

According to Wikipedia, it's being developed by Treasure, but there is no citation yet, so take that with a grain of salt.

So they got the message earlier this year, and pumping it out next year...so probably 9-12 months of dev time....sigh...
