Xbox Live Having Troubles After Maintenance Outage

Xbox Live is experiencing intermittent outages in the wake of an all-day planned downtime back on Monday.

"Users will not be able to connect or log into Xbox LIVE," reads the official Xbox.com support page. "We are aware of the problem and working to resolve the issue. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause," it continues.

Today's outage for Microsoft's online gaming service and marketplace adds to unexpected downtime that happened on Tuesday night.

The support page does not estimate how long the downtime will last.

Ahhh it's bullshit, I know its usually an excellent service most of the time. But this is becoming more and more frequent that this sort of thing happens.

At the start of the year we had downtime and when it came back online the whole service was screwed for nearly a month. It won't last that long i'm sure, but its really annoying when you get a day off and want to get on LIVE for a bit.

It is frustrating and we will get credited. The only good thing to come out of it is I'm visiting games I haven't played in ages for their single player strengths. It's remarkable just how good some of these games are,

My only concern is my x-box, which is on the fritz. Will this update finally bury it?
