New Company of Heroes Expansion Revealed?

Listings for a new Company of Heroes entry titled "Tales of Valor" recently appeared at retailer Amazon.com, prompting speculation that publisher THQ is preparing a second expansion pack in the Relic-developed World War II PC real-time strategy series.

The listing puts Tales of Valor's price point at $29.99, identical to the initial cost of the previous standalone expansion Opposing Fronts, and suggests a tentative release date of March 1, 2009.

The recipient of numerous awards, the original Company of Heroes hit PC in 2006, with developer Relic currently working on the sci-fi RTS Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 2 (PC), due out in early 2009.

No other details on Tales of Valor were offered in the listing, with publisher THQ having yet to offer an official comment.

It seems to me that this game and RTS games in general would really benefit from using Steam in a similar way to TF2 with numerous tiny bug fixes released often.

Ugh... I suppose this is to keep funding the patches that are way overdue.

I'll probably pick it up, though they really need to get their updates out quicker.

Can only hope, but wouldn't this more likely have something to do with that version thay are making for the asian market or something?

Anyway would like Soviets to be added to the game... would love to smash some ruskies in snow filled towns and fields. ;)

COH the best PC game for some time IMO.

I'm interested in another expansion, specially if they decide to finally implement pause and save in multiplayer games (LAN at least), something AOK did almost ten years ago, and if they fix the mess that is the combination of SecuROM and the Relic online authentication.

And if they're going to use GfWL (as they are doing with DoW2), I'll pass, thanks.

Getting excited already. But if it is an expansion, it would be hard to imagine them adding another faction since getting Opposing Fronts balanced was (and still is) hell. I wonder if the expansion will be more like Brood Wars - same factions, but a few new units/abilities and maybe another single player campaign?

I don't think this is a new expansion. As I speculated here (http://planetcoh.gamespy.com/fullstory.php?id=153176) last week, I am reasonably sure that this has something to do with the current DLC Relic is working on. It doesn't make much sense to develop a single-player campaign DLC due for release later this year, then to follow it up with an expansion in early March that would, in theory, contain two new campaigns. My guess is that this is a retail collection of the DLC that Relic is working on, which makes a bit more sense considering the name could be referring to multiple DLC campaigns as the tales of valor.
