More Dead Rising on the Way, Teases Capcom

As Capcom readies the Wii edition of its zombie-slaying action title Dead Rising (360), the publisher has begun hinting that more Dead Rising titles are on the way, including a possible PlayStation 3 release.

"You haven't seen the last of Dead Rising," Capcom's John Diamonon wrote in the comments section of the official PlayStation blog, responding to a fan's complaint that the original Dead Rising only arrived on Xbox 360.

Released in 2006, Dead Rising put players in the role of photojournalist Frank West as he attempted to survive 72 hours in a zombie-infested mall, with the option of rescuing numerous survivors. Rumors of a multi-platform sequel have long circulated, though until now, there has been little evidence to indicate another effort is in development.

The only way you could get me to play / purchase another Dead Rising game for my 360 is to include a multiplayer option. I'd especially buy the game if co-op was available. I've always wished that Dead Rising had included co-op.

Give me a sandbox mode. Thats all I want. I want to explore the setting without worrying about missions/story and without the draining health.

I still can't believe this was left out of the first one.

I loved Dead Rising - but here's a list of things that annoyed me and stopped me replaying through:

1. Loading.
2. Saving. (I don't wanna be babied and be able to save before I go to each room, but just save when I exit so I can pick up where I was)
3. Otis - stop phoning me! Or at least wait a minute before phoning me back after I hang up..
4. Please throw someone a couple of bux to speak the lines instead of showing text. It feels so lonely.

i know you fags are all pro annoying save system in this game but i hope they make some kind of alternative in anything new that comes out. i'd really like getting back into this game but i really dont have fun in console games that dont save often (BF:BC autosaves pretty frequently and Mass Effect lets me save wherever the fuck i want as long as im not in combat). I don't get many hours in a row to play so it's great when i can pick up a game for 30mins to an hour and not have to worry about saving progress :\
