Armored Core: For Answer Screenshots Arrive

Ubisoft today issued new screenshots of From Software's Armored Core: For Answer (PS3, 360), confirming a September release date for the upcoming mech-building action sequel.

The game's North American localization was originally confirmed as part of Ubisoft's second quarter software lineup in the company's Q1 financial report.

The 13th installment of From Software's long-running series, For Answer sports simpler controls than earlier games and introduces Arms Forts, huge mobile fortresses that deliver epic, Shadow of the Colossus-like battles.

A more precise date is expected as the title's September release approaches.

I don't know that the controls are really simpler. I played the demo from the Japanese PSN, and it was just as much of a pain in the ass as always. The only real difference was that it's easier to keep track of your opponent, since it's just one big fortress.

I wish people would stop comparing it to SotC though, because aside from fighting large things, they have nothing in common.

Every big reiteration of this series that comes out come with the claim of "simpler controls". yet somehow they manage to make the mechs more and more awkward to pilot. They peaked at armored core 2 on the PS2.
