With Fable 2 (360) essentially complete and bound for release this fall, Lionhead lead designer Peter Molyneux has revealed that the company has three more titles in the works for the action-RPG series.

"We've got plans for Fable 3, 4, and 5," Molyneux informed GameTrailers. "It's a big story arc, and you can see—if you play Fable 2, you can recognize things from Fable 1, so that's pretty exciting."

When asked of Lionhead's other unannounced project, Molyneux declined to comment about the specifics but noted that the title is "kind of the result of an experiment that went incredibly well."

Fable 2 is currently in final testing phases and is expected to hit retailers this coming October.

  • Fable was really fun and I played through both versions, different ways. The hype, however, made it out to be something else entirely and I was shocked at how limited the game play was compared to what had been promised. I keep looking for that extra thing they said would set it apart.

What Fable was was a great story with a fun world, a cool aging system and enjoyable combat which got repetitive towards the end. The game had great replayability even though combat was limited. But really approve of what they were trying to do and if you think of Fable 2 as the sequel to Fable and not whatever they are promising you, I think you will not be disappointed.
