Project Origin Video Shows Gameplay, Silly Monsters

Publisher Warner Bros. has provided us with a trailer from Monolith's spooky shooter Project Origin, showcasing monsters that act like they're still people. Silly monsters!

The spiritual sequel to Monolith's supernatural shooter F.E.A.R., Project Origin is due out on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 later this year.

Employee : Sir, we can't optimize this game any more. Its just a simple fact, that today's hardware can't handle these complex fight scenes without bringing frame-rate down to an unplayable level.

What a rad idea. The red puppetty strings are cool. It does seem a little tough to tell which one is the master and which ones are just puppets, but all the strings lead back to the master so that might be enough.

I don't care what anyone says, I can't wait for this game. FEAR gets a lot of hate (some of it justified) but I can't find a single shooter that is more satisfying to waste an hour or two on. It may not be the prettiest or the most interesting with respect to the story or locations, but the combat is top notch.

As long as Project Origin continues this then I'm there. Hopefully this time they'll use more varied locations.
