New Xbox 360 Dashboard Screenshots Show Themes

22
Xbox Live director of programming Larry "Major Nelson" Hyrb released new screenshots of the revised Xbox 360 dashboard, showing off various elements of the operating system including its theme integration.

"A few folks have asked about themes and the new Xbox experience," Hyrb wrote on his blog. "Specifically, how do themes fit in with the new experience."

The revised dashboard is slated to hit the Xbox 360 as a free software update this fall.

The faux 3D with everything being displayed as "panels receding into the distance" just looks like such a waste of space though.

Oh well, it's coming whether I like it or not :) and hopefully once I see it in action it will be more impressive.

If you don't like it you can switch to the old-style blades by the sound of it.

Are you sure? I was under the impression there is no way to switch back, but that the xbox guide now has a lot of the stuff you used to be only able to do in the blades.

If i can stick the blades I most certainly will.
