GRIN Developing 'Wanted' Game, Set After Movie Concludes
by Maarten Goldstein, Jul 16, 2008 9:13am PDTThe Universal Pictures Digital Platforms Group has announced that Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will be publishing a game based on "Wanted", the recently released comic inspired action movie starring Angelina Jolie and James McAvoy.
Featuring a storyline set after the conclusion of the movie, The Wanted game is a third person one and will feature such moves as "curving bullets" and "Assassin Time". Universal also promises a "an innovative, multi-layered cover mechanic".
Development of the game, scheduled for release late this year on PC and console systems, is being handled by GRIN. The Sweden based company is also working on the upcoming Bionic Commando reimagining; previous projects include the PC editions of the Tom Clancy: Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter games, and the post-apocalyptic action-racer Bandits: Phoenix Rising.

To me this came out of nowhere that a swedish company would develop, and Grin above all. But they have a promising portfolio, so to speak, and it'll be interesting to see what the guys can do with this license.
