Prince of Persia: The Eight Minute Video Walkthrough
by Nick Breckon, Jul 15, 2008 11:02pm PDTUbisoft demonstrated eight minutes of the new Prince of Persia title at the company's press conference earlier today.
The footage covers the length of one level from the game, allowing a glimpse of the partner-based gameplay.
The Prince's cohort Elika acts as a physical manifestation of his powers, following him throughout each level and assisting him in both combat and platforming. While the Prince has no upgradeable abilities, Elika is upgraded instead. She can be used in platforming to assist the Prince in double-jumps, or revive him from death. In combat Elika uses special combo moves with the Prince, and bosses will often have character-specific shields that require Elika to be used.
Prince of Persia is slated for a holiday release on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Also, the presenter there said something about her being there to make the main character feel cool. Sorry it's the opposite. It looks like Prince of Cirque de Soleil
