Prince of Persia: The Eight Minute Video Walkthrough

7
Ubisoft demonstrated eight minutes of the new Prince of Persia title at the company's press conference earlier today.

The footage covers the length of one level from the game, allowing a glimpse of the partner-based gameplay.

The Prince's cohort Elika acts as a physical manifestation of his powers, following him throughout each level and assisting him in both combat and platforming. While the Prince has no upgradeable abilities, Elika is upgraded instead. She can be used in platforming to assist the Prince in double-jumps, or revive him from death. In combat Elika uses special combo moves with the Prince, and bosses will often have character-specific shields that require Elika to be used.

Prince of Persia is slated for a holiday release on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Ever play "Beyond Oasis?" It's kind of like that. Except 10x the awesome.

The game is incredibly sexy. I love the decision for combat with every enemy being a complicated duel. I totally the artistic direction, including Elika and the monsters.

I am unbelievably excited. This, to me, is what DNF must be like for dognose.

Not sure that I agree with the "no dying" kind of dying.

Although in the video, he did have to redo a section after being consumed by that black thing.

What do you mean by "no dying"? In the video, the player appears to die and replay a section. Is it a Bioshock thing, where enemies and puzzles don't reset?
