Crysis Warhead Details: New Multiplayer Modes, Seven New Maps, $29.99 Standalone Price

A listing for Crysis Warhead on publisher Electronic Arts' online store has revealed new details on pricing and new multiplayer features for Crytek's standalone shooter follow-up.

In addition to confirming the game's $29.95 retail price point, the listing notes that Crysis Warhead includes Crysis Wars, described as an "expanded new multiplayer experience" for the title.

Crysis Wars is said to include a total of 21 of maps, seven of which are brand new to the Crysis multiplayer experience. New multiplayer modes will also be included, though no further details were specified.

Set to be Crytek's last PC-exclusive game, Crysis Warhead is scheduled for a fall release.

I refuse to buy this on principle after they sold the beta of Crysis, somehow manage to turn it into an alpha with the patches, and then quit.

When Crysis came out I didn't have a computer that could play it, but I tried it at a friend's house and loved it. This title sounds perfect for me. Cheap, with lots of multiplayer content and hopefully a refined single player experience with more action and more sandbox fun.

I'm looking forward to this a lot.

As much as I didn't like the original Crysis, it was a solid enough shooter experience, if this ever got onto steam for $30, I would buy it.

Of course knowing EA that won't happen, and so the money stays in my pocket.

Looks as good as some of the pre-rendered stuff earlier on the page of that other game - except this isn't prerendered. SO I say, fuck the haters. I can't wait for this.
