Square Lists E3 Games, Final Fantasy 13 Not Shown

Japanese RPG powerhouse Square Enix has revealed the lineup of titles it will showcase at next week's E3 Media & Business Summit.

Going by the list, Final Fantasy XIII (PS3) and its action-based offshoot Final Fantasy Versus XIII (PS3) will not be on display at the conference. It is believed that the company will instead highlight those titles at a separate event in Japan later this summer.

Of the games below, five are said to be playable, while the rest will be demonstrated through trailers and other hands-off presentations.

Aw dammit! I was so looking forward to seeing FF XIII and Versus, especially the combat system. Well, I hope they'll show it later in that other event in Japan :)

Interesting that SE goes mobile and 360 and PS3 only has 1 title that is multi platform?! Is this a sign of things to come from this previous Sony loyal company? And where is FFXIII? And when will SE come up with sth new? Talk about milking remakes and sequels....

I played through the DS version of Dragon Quest IV about a month ago. It's a pretty damn good update - graphics and sound improved, and gameplay streamlined, but it still felt very much like the original. No battle/scene loading time like the FF3 remake.

I NEED screenshots of how Chrono Trigger is going to use the other screen.. I haven't yet thought of a way that would be truly useful.

Not that I wouldn't buy it even if the other screen was just turned off for the whole game. :p Just very curious!
