Gears of War 2 Multiplayer Beta Footage Surfaces

This looks like more of the same. In other words, fuck yeah.

You guys are cranky today. The first game was a very entertaining single player game, that was quite nice to look at. It had a multiplayer mode that kept me playing for months. Would I pay $60 for gameplay refinements and some new maps to an already fun multiplayer experience? Fuck yeah I would. Same way you would for Starcraft 2.

This was the first multiplayer game I played that had multiple rounds and when you're dead, you stay dead. I guess counter strike pioneered that, but I never really got into it. I really liked how the multiplayer mechanics encouraged teamwork. It seemed easy to cooperate, even in pubs. Teamwork seemed more necesary than, say, Halo 3 where 1 good player could win a game of team slayer when everyone else on their team sucked. It was good times, and very well implemented (host and lag issues aside...)

Anyway, quit yer bitchin, the original was fun. This will be too. You all expect too much.

i dont like how you can camp and look around the corner in 3rd person... must be annoying in multiplayer when someone just pops out and starts shooting at you

Look cool, but I like vehicles too much now to go back to that type of game. Games like Bad Company and Warhawk are much more fun to me.

did they mention anything about weapon balance in this yet? the first one's MP was pretty limp dick'd after everyone figured out that torque bow or sniper == win

wow. whats up with all these trolls!? GoW 1 was an amazing game. I'm sure GoW 2 will be awesome.

I think this game is only popular to people 15 and under.. I have yet to find someone that is in the 30s or higher that could even remotely care... When I go into Gamestop, I see only young kids going "Wow, this game is so cool"... I hate this game with a passion. Multiplayer is so boring, I rather go play E.T. on the NES :)

So, what's the difference between GoW2 and GoW1 MP? It looks like the same game.

Looks like shit. But I guess 15 year old American kids will love it.

GoW1 had a decent singleplayer experience, average story, very cliche, nothing new.

Multiplayer was the same, very generic.

GoW2 seems so far to be just more of the same with very little evolution of the gameplay.

Much like all console franchises.

Can't wait for this game.

Gears 1 was everything a game should be without all that cheesy cut-scene nonsense that can drag a game down to the, "I'm eleven years old and love anime" zone. . . It's mature enough that the adults might just love it more than the kids. The multiplayer of Gears is about as fun as it gets, . . yeah, this game is going to kick some serious butt.

Man I cant wait to play a beefy guy with huge shoulder pads in this "new" game.

ooh AI bots? we haven't had that since like, perfect dark n64...

I for one, will be all over this game.
