Formula for money-making game:
1) Cover system, cover system, and more cover systems
2) marines or, even better, SPACE Marines
3) Gritty art design
or
a) Forget those 3 and just make your own version of Gears, Halo 3, or GTA4 and hope no one notices that it sucks.

Anyway, it looks promising. I like the idea of open-world game-play in a battle environment. And the destruction looks sweeeeet - but you can't really judge those things based on trailers alone.
Because if they do, then this game will kick so much ass. SO MUCH ASS.
"CUT. Just read the script will you.."
"Sorry...We went to 3rd person for yadda yadda yadda"

To be fair tho, looks better than anything I've seen of Mercs2. Nothing like Red Faction, but should be fun.

1. Vehicles crashes into another and they both instantly blow up
2. Big wall/barrier that appears to be made out of metal blows to pieces from a little rocket launcher.
Still looks fun though.
I liked the small- to medium-sized maps in the original Red Faction. Also, first-person > third-person.
If this is on mars, they'll have to explain how they breathe without makes and shit.

where did all the originality from volition go? Ever since Red Faction 2 they've been just putting out copycat title after copycat title. Not that Red Faction 1 was a huge revolution or anything, but at least it was fucking trying
