Dead Space Trailer Demos Disememberment

This new trailer for EA Redwood Shores' sci-fi survival title Dead Space shows off the game's dismemberment system, which will allow monster survivalists to tear their foes apart piece by piece.

Look for Dead Space on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on October 28.

This is actually looking quite nice. While lush, open environments are good and all... I actually kinda dig the Doom 3, OpenGL, dark, shiny corridors thing. If the atmosphere is right, and thick enough, I'll probably pick this up.

A gun that fires along a plane for ease of limb chopping actually seems like a neat idea. But lol to the "strategic dismemberment" - it sounds like something marketing thought of.

im sorry but didn't ea learn from last years Halloween release? just cause a game has to do with monsters doesn't mean u need to release on Halloween i hope this game is sufficiently polished and fun cause it looks pretty good but i don't want to be let down again.
also i'm beginning to think this strategic dismemberment thing is kinda gimmicky and stupid.
