Battlestations: Pacific Trailer Is Rather Impressive

We try not to inject much opinion into our news, but honestly, this trailer for Eidos Hungary's sea and air-combat effort Battlestations: Pacific Preview is really well-made.

Looks interesting.
I liked the first one but it lacked anything to keep me playing after a while.

Hope this one is bigger and bolder than the last.

The first game had a lot of promise, but fell apart when it came to strategy. I am really hoping that they balance this out and makes some bigger maps. One of the biggest problems with the first game was that with a planes radar you could see most of the map. This removed most of the strategy.

I am a little nervous about the experimental planes I am seeing in the trailer. Most of the time when people start adding gimmicks, the gameplay breaks down.

It's hard to be impressed when the video won't play. It seems that some videos play, while others do not. It will load the video, but never play it. I'm using Firefox 3 now, but the same thing occurred with 2.

And yes, we have official kamikaze (Shinpu) units!
Look at the planes released from the Betty bombers and the mini-sub that takes off from the submarine.

They use a stupid gimmick to get you to visit their webpage (check out the full script on our webpage!) and then even if you decide to do that, you have to REGISTER to view the script.
