A demo of Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Hothead Games' role playing game based on the popular webcomic, is now available for download from FileShack. If you like what you see, you can buy the full episode through Greenhouse.com.

The demo and game are also available through the Xbox Live Marketplace for Xbox 360 owners.

I think I don't "get" their jokes, it feels like they are trying too hard. :(

It looks like a decent JPRG (gameplay-wise of course), and humor is always a big plus for me, but somehow it doesn't work. Too bad, I really wanted to like it...

I guess at 800 points I would have bought it anyway, that's like my sweet spot for impulse buys...

Played the free XBLA trial this morning... OMG so much fun. If you're a fan of their comic strip, this is just non-stop comic strip. The style, the dialog, and everything was fun and a nice refresh from what I usually play. The fruit fucker stuff is hilarious.

I'll be picking this up.

I really am enjoying the game so far and have purchased it(go Mac Gaming!). I really love the style and presentation of the game. It's genuinely funny at parts whether you are a fan of PA or not. Chalk me up as genuinely surprised. It's a pretty cool little game.

Damn, that was fun and refreshing.

The style of the game was great, and that you get you sort of personalize your character (To a degree) makes its even more worth while I think. The cutscenes in the game are pretty funny and even though they're like flash animations, they still retain your character's identity when he / she is in them.

Plus I need somethin' to play while the AoC servers are down. :-P
