New Alone in the Dark Gameplay Movies

Fire effects in this game are just terrible. Not realistic.. not even close to fire. Looks more like the sand+bloom particles from prince of persia (SOT) games.

man the animation on the crashing cars was LOL bad.

Other than that it looked cool though.

anyone else think the depth-of-field effect is getting a little bit over used? Not just for this game, but in general.
Instead of giving the illusion that the bottom of the tower was really far down, it looks like it was being viewed with a macro lens and that the building is actually quite small.

Either way I wanna try this game.

I really hope this game delivers.

Well, that effectively kills any interest I had in that game.

I wonder if all those debris falling are scripting or if it's all real-time.

Odd choice of video to release. So Alone in the Dark is retreading the ground of Tomb Raider and Prince of Persia? Hmm, okay. Those are good games. Not what I expected, though, and it seems that action/puzzle platforming is a step away from what Alone in the Dark is about as a series.

Is this typical of the game? If not why release a trailer only showing this short segment when so little gameplay trailers have been released so far?

If the game wasn't called Alone in the Dark then I would have nothing positive or negative to say about this trailer as it doesn't show enough of the game to know what it's really like. (I could be negative and say that sequences like this have been done a million times before but, in moderation, they are still enjoyable. It just doesn't seem to fit the franchise.)

(That said I've only watched people pay bits of the Alone in the Dark series. Maybe I have the wrong impression of it.)

I think this sequence looks boring and the particle effects for the fire are poor. Just looks really bad in contract with the previous, awesome developer movies they released.
