Anyone else notice the Gears of War noise at 11 seconds? I thought i had a gears trailer running in the background for a sec.

did they purposely make it 10 FPS?

This game started off great and went downhill for me. Some technical issues were around in the GDC build but it was still early and people expected them ironed out, but it looks like they're still present. Why have the remains of monsters go up in a big fire if it bogs down the system? Why add more effects if you can barely keep 60fps with all the motion on screen as it is?

Then there's the cheesy looking designs of the big beasties they've shown off in tiny trailers leading up to launch. I have to agree with one of the 1up podcast guys who said they look like extras off the set of Power Rangers, and they should grow really big when Hayabusa defeats them.

The gameplay is still probably solid, and that's what matters. But they're trying to top God of War with this style out the yin-yang, and it makes me want to yell "just stop" over and over.

Hey, movie guy voice. This is a proper trailer. Too bad they didn't use that guy in the game.

Did that gameplay stuff look like it had a lot of framerate issues to anyone else?

Did the original contain much of a story that you'd need to know about?
Or can I just pick up this sequel without any worries?

I never understand why people complain about colors in a game..

Does anyone know if this game has an enemy lock-on system or is the combat kind of pseudo-lock-on just like the first one ???

The inability to explicitly lock onto targets made it extremely hard for me to transition to NG after having played every PS2 Onimusha and Devil May Cry game for years and years.

Frame rate issues in a game that requires fast thinking and even better hand eye coordination is going to cause a world of problems for this title.

I want this game so bad.
