It says a lot that this late in the game they have an NDA covering everything above lvl 20. I'm guessing this will suck balls at launch and be good in 6 months.

either that, or they don't want anyone discussing the quests/new locations.
      That's my guess anyhow.

I'm in closed and the closed beta client is so far ahead of the open beta client it's really dumb they had the open client differ in the first place.

It's stable as hell and the framerate is really good, on my out-dated x1950XT.

Yeah, and the open beta client at the start of it was an older release than the PvP weekend build.

I don't understand why they would have such a horrible build released to the public like that?

Most people are idiots and will always think that that's a representation of the final product.

From what I've heard, the closed beta client is also newer than the one being pressed on the dvds.

Good to see I'm not the only one instantly turned off.

I didn't give it much time, since the hitching from this open *DEBUG MODE ENABLED* client is just plain stupid to release to the public. Lets not mention it was 12GB, that to-boot was near impossible and fustrating to download, even when getting it (luckily) from my ISP's nntp server which still took *forever* to get.

What a nightmare. I'm re-patching now to see if they changed anything with the client since two days ago or so.

Yeah, I'm in closed beta... Runs great, looks great. It's not very fun though :(

I'm sure if you like MMO's you'll like this, but I'm so burnt out on MMO's that I can't stand to play them anymore. I really want an MMO that gets rid of the typical "one through nine" button scheme and focus more directly on action. AoC is a step in the right direction, but I'm still finding myself hitting "12321321231232" during combat, and it brings back bitter memories of WoW (and every other MMO out there).

it's above lvl 13 ..because the open beta only goes to lvl 13. why is that out of the ordinary?
