New Saints Row 2 Media, Trailer Released

Publisher THQ has unveiled new screenshots, artwork and a new trailer for Volition's gangster life simulator Saints Row 2 (PS3, X360).

Announced last September, the open-world sequel will offer two-player online co-op throughout the entire campaign, along with a redesigned city, new vehicles, expanded character customization options, and other multiplayer modes.

Saints Row 2 is currently slated for an August 26 release.

I pre-ordered GTA4, and I shall pre-order Saints Row 2. These are not mutually exclusive concepts. All prior GTA games are great, and the prior Saints Row game was great. Can't we all just get along?

I sort-of wish they'd let this game bake a little while longer considering GTA4 is just coming out. I think that releasing it for christmas season would be better than august, because otherwise they'll draw too many comparisons to GTA4.

I cant see this game really competing with GTA4. I know some are probably going to tell me "They are 2 completely different games!" but they are both well within the same genre.

I dunno...honestly from what I've seen of GTA4 and its more "real world" mechanics and detail they've thrown into the world I am looking forward more to it than Saints Row.

Granted I've never played the first one, but it kinda seems like Postal+GTA2, just doesnt look all that fun.

Considering GTA4 is probably going to fill every need I have that this genre offers, I wish volition would spend their time trying to find a way for freespace 3 to happen rather than trying to cash in on a knockoff of gta.
